The Make Time Quilt: TRAVEL version

If you know me, you know I have a BIG love of travel! I always joke that my bag is always packed and that I can be ready in an instant if someone says, “LET’S GO!”

As much as I love it, sometimes I like having a little bit of home with me on my adventures.

Enter the TRAVEL size version of the Make Time quilt!

Changing It Up!

Normally quilt patterns are written to include several different sizes…baby, throw, and bed. As I was working on the design for this pattern, the “baby” size just wasn’t resonating with me.

All my children are grown.

I don’t have any grandchildren yet.

I’m at a time in my life when I have the most freedom to travel than I’ve ever had. I remembered how cold I can get on a plane and how few airlines are offering blankets and pillows these days. That’s when the travel size was born!

Let’s Go!

I tested my travel size Make Time quilt on a recent trip to London. And you now what? It was exactly all I wanted it to be!

Look at how nicely it rolls up to fit inside my carry-on tote!

It also helped to bring a little bit of comfort and home to my hotel room.

Let’s Make It A Thing!

You better believe that my future patterns will include a travel size, too! I’m hooked!

I hope this inspires you to make a travel size quilt. Even if it says it’s a “baby” size, this is your permission slip to make it for yourself in fabrics you LOVE!

You can get the Make Time quilt pattern in my shop! If you make a travel size quilt for yourself (even if it’s not my pattern), please share it and tag me on Instagram @JenLevin. I’d love to see what you make and where you take your quilt!
